Fly Fishing Guide – Backcountry & UTV Access
Kodiak Island, Alaska
Primary Season: Summer–Early Fall (Guiding)
Optional Off-Season: Construction Work with Sister Company
About the Role
Saltery Adventures is seeking a professional, people-focused fly fishing guide to lead guests into the
Kodiak Island backcountry for unforgettable salmon fishing experiences. This is a guide-first position
focused on guest experience, teaching fly fishing, and professionalism.
Primary Responsibilities
- Guide clients fly fishing for multiple species of Pacific salmon
- Transport guests via UTV into remote backcountry fishing locations
- Provide patient instruction in fly fishing skills
- Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional atmosphere
- Clean and fillet fish properly
Required Qualifications
- Experienced fly fisherman
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Patience for teaching fly fishing
- Positive personality and safety mindset
Optional Off-Season Construction Work
Employment available with our sister construction company in and around Kodiak. Pay negotiable
based on experience.
