Requirements: • 3-5 years of guiding experience in fly fishing. • Current and valid First Aid and CPR certification. • Own personal reliable transportation to and from the ranch. • Must have a clean driving record, valid driver's license and auto insurance • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Strong teaching and instructional abilities. • Passion for fly fishing and outdoor adventure. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Knowledge of local fisheries and their ecosystems is preferred. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. • Must be physically fit and able to hike and wade in varying terrain and weather conditions. VVR guides need to be knowledgeable in the outdoors, physically fit, and provide a safe and compelling trip while being attentive to the guest’s needs and requests. Guides are expected to jump into other guiding roles (hiking, pontoon boat, archery, paddleboarding, and more) as needed to support all guiding out of the Adventure Center. Candidates must be 21 or older, hold a current up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification, and have a clean driving record. Guides must be knowledgeable in fly fishing and casting techniques, know how to read water and understand the intricacies of finding and catching trout. Our waters are walk-wade access, nearby lakes, hike-in access alpine lakes, feeder creeks, private water and public water. Ideal candidates are available full time from May 19th until the end of October, potentially longer.

Wages dependent upon experience. Glacier Raft Company will honor previous guiding experience with other outfitters when considering wages for new team members. Wages for new guides start at $130/day for full day trips + tips. Glacier Raft Company are seeking Fishing Guides to join our awesome team for the summer season. We are based out of West Glacier, Montana and as Montana's longest continually operating raft company, we have been providing our guests with iconic and unforgettable experiences since the 1970's. Our guide roles generally start between May and June and end in August and September. We are proud to offer free employee housing, laundry, and internet as well as some complimentary meals. Fly Fishing Guide experience strongly preferred, but not required. Positions are dependent upon completion of guide school, on the job training, and First Aid/CPR and swift water rescue certifications.
