Fly Fishing Guide – Roaring Fork Valley, Colorado
We are a new and upcoming fly fishing outfitter based in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley, focused on delivering high-quality, personalized guided experiences on some of the region’s most iconic waters. As a growing operation, we’re looking for motivated, professional guides who are excited to help shape the culture, standards, and future of an outfitter being built with intention from the ground up.
Guides will lead wade and/or float trips and events, provide casting and fly fishing instruction, ensure client safety, and deliver an exceptional on-the-water experience. Ideal candidates are confident anglers with strong people skills, a professional demeanor, and a genuine passion for sharing fly fishing with others.
Alongside regular guiding, we are committed to expanding access to fly fishing by supporting women and veterans entering the sport. We value inclusive, welcoming experiences and aim to create opportunities that build confidence, skill, and connection on the water for anglers of all backgrounds.
As a newer outfitter, we value collaboration, adaptability, and clear communication. Guides who are dependable, enthusiastic, and interested in growing alongside the business will be given priority for repeat seasons and expanded opportunities as the outfitter continues to grow.
Responsibilities include:
• Leading guided wade and/or float fly fishing trips
• Teaching casting, rigging, entomology, and river tactics
• Ensuring client safety and risk management on the water
• Providing professional, friendly customer service
• Representing the outfitter with integrity on and off the river
Qualifications:
• Previous guiding experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
• Strong knowledge of fly fishing techniques and river systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license
Compensation & Perks:
• Competitive compensation rates + 100% gratuities
• Pro deals and industry discounts
• Flexible scheduling
